Gravity Plan: Visit to Another Planet

Did you know that the gravity on other planets pulls with more or less force than the gravity on Earth? A planet’s gravity depends on its mass.

Pick a planet you want to visit. Research its mass and gravity compared to Earth. Use your research to plan your visit:

• Is the force of gravity stronger or weaker on your chosen planet? How will that affect your visit?

• When you visit, what will it be like to walk on that planet? Will you need special equipment to get around? Describe and/or draw how you will travel from place to place while you’re there.

• Image you enjoy your visit so much that you decide to stay. How will that planet’s gravity affect the way you build your house?
