This product is also part of our Matter & Energy Vocabulary Slides for Middle School -- a complete set of 75+ terms for middle school!

Matter and Energy Vocabulary Slides focuses on 34 science terms, with slides in 2 different formats. Spanish terms on each slide support English-language learners and dual language classrooms.

Fully aligned to 7th grade Texas standards (TEKS), this resource was created to support Texas teachers as you implement the new science TEKS in the 2024-2025 school year. While created with Texas classroom teachers in mind, it is an excellent addition to any 7th grade matter and energy unit.

Every slide comes in two formats that provide flexibility to introduce, reinforce, and review science vocabulary in a variety of ways:

Complete Vocabulary Slides consist of a science term, Spanish translation, definition, and illustration.

Suggested uses for these slides include:

  • introduce or review vocabulary
  • set to autoplay for a digital word wall
  • share one or multiple slides in Google Classroom, etc. for use in assignments or as a student resource

Definition and Illustration Only Slides consist of the same definitions and illustrations without the science term or Spanish translation. A slide listing all terms is included and can be used as an answer key.

Suggested uses for these slides include:

  • use one or multiple slides for daily review and reinforcement
  • pair randomized slides with the included printable bingo sheet for a review game
  • share slides in Google Classroom, etc. as a vocabulary assignment
  • use as a DOK 1 assessment of recognition and recall
