Fully aligned to 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Texas standards (TEKS), this resource was created to support Texas teachers as you implement the new science TEKS in the 2024-2025 school year. While created with Texas classroom teachers in mind, it is an excellent addition to any middle grades matter and energy unit, whether in a traditional classroom or homeschool setting.

The three different card formats provide flexibility to introduce, reinforce, and review science vocabulary in a variety of ways. Suggested uses include:
- interactive notebooks - glue/tape cards into students' science journal as new vocabulary is introduced
- vocabulary sort - ask students to organize groups of cards to show their understanding of connections among terms and concepts
- student-created flashcards - have students add definitions and their own illustrations to reinforce and enhance understanding of concepts
- small group bingo - give students a set of cards and copies of the blank bingo board for a student-led game
- matching/memory games - combines set for interactive review
