The three different card formats provide flexibility to introduce, reinforce, and review science vocabulary in a variety of ways. Suggested uses include:
 
interactive notebooks - glue/tape cards into students' science journal as new vocabulary is introduced
vocabulary sort - ask students to organize groups of cards to show their understanding of connections among terms and concepts
student-created flashcards - have students add definitions and their own illustrations to reinforce and enhance understanding of concepts
small group bingo - give students a set of cards and copies of the blank bingo board for a student-led game
matching/memory games - combines set for interactive review
